Instructions
For this project I had to design instructions on how to fold a paper plane. This project required me to have the understanding of creating instructions that are both easy to follow and visually appealing. As well as the understanding of design elements and principles. I had to ask the questions “What steps need hints and tips to help the user understand the step?” and “Does the graphics and design help the user understand the steps or is it cluttered?” I was able to answer these questions by Analyzing the steps to the process and effectively relaying them so that the audience can complete the task.
Infographic
For this project, I was asked to create an Infographic that is both visually and informatively effective. I had to have an understanding of what information was important along with how to persuade the audience with the design. I was able to do this by analyzing the data and picking out what information was important to the audience. Having an understanding of the audience made it easier to decide what information was best to relay along with choosing the graphics and layout for the infographic.
Informative Poster
An informative poster aimed at my local community about a specific program that helps with the natural environment. This poster was a project that needed me to have an understanding of design elements and principals along with the understanding what information is important to relay. I also needed to understand how to persuade the audience with graphics, design, and text. To successfully do this I had to analyze data as well as the audience to pick out what’s most important to my community.
