Website Analysis

This project was an observation and overview of the Washington Trails Association website. This included researching and understanding the audience, purpose, quality, visuals, multimedia, layout, and competition for this website. To do so I analyzed Usability, User Needs, and User Expectations. The questions asked to further analyze the website were “Does the website use graphics in a constructive and eye-appealing way?” “Is the website easy to understand and does the navigation make sense?” “What does the competition’s website look like comparatively and does there’s work better or worse?”

Training Proposal

The idea behind this project was to create a proposal that included the outline of a training program that included a budget, materials needed, time, and whatever ells was deemed important. To complete this project successfully I had to understand the layout and protocol of writing a company-wide training proposal. I also had to research what it would cost to conduct this sort of training and what was important to a company when it comes to training it’s employees.

Environmental Proposal

Unlike the other proposal, this one was to create a proposal addressing an APA to consider you for their grant. Having an understanding of the APA I was addressing along with their guidelines and expectations was important. So was the understanding of the layout and how to successfully write this proposal. To do so I had to analyze the requirements set by the APA along with gathering information that would support the plan that is stated in the proposal. I also had to ask the questions “How can I showcase a plan, qualifications, costs, and benefits in a way that the APA will accept me?”

Editing

For this project I had to take a piece of real world writing from a live document or book and edit it to create a better piece of writing for both the audience and the writer. To do so I had to understand how to take the vision of a writer and edit their writing to cater to their audience. I also had to have an understanding of how voice and theme is important to both the audience and the writer. A technical understanding of how to use Word to edit documents was also needed. To successfully edit this piece of writing I had to analyze it for errors such as spelling, grammar, and voice. The questions asked that helped do so were “Does the writing fit the vision of the writer” and “does the writing translate to the audience?
